Therapy for ADHD, Emotional Regulation and Overwhelm
“You are doing the best you can. And you can do better.”
—Marsha Linehan, Founder of DBT
When strategies alone are no longer enough
Perhaps you've spent years trying to get your life under control. You've read the books, listened to podcasts, experimented with planners, routines, productivity systems, and time-management techniques. You know what you're supposed to do. Yet somehow, life still feels harder than it seems to be for everyone else.
You may find yourself overwhelmed by everyday demands, struggling with self-doubt, or feeling emotionally exhausted from constantly trying to keep up. Criticism may affect you more deeply than you'd like. You may know exactly what needs to be done, yet still feel stuck when it comes to taking action.
Many people with ADHD experience exactly this. ADHD affects far more than attention, concentration, or organization. It can influence emotional regulation, stress tolerance, self-esteem, relationships, and overall well-being. Over time, years of overwhelm, misunderstandings, and feeling "different" can contribute to anxiety, depression, chronic stress, burnout, or a persistent sense of never quite being good enough.
While coaching can be incredibly helpful for developing practical strategies and creating structure, therapy offers space to explore the deeper patterns that may be holding you back. Together, we look beyond the symptoms and work to understand the experiences, beliefs, and emotional challenges that continue to shape your life. My goal is not to change who you are or to "fix" you. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, strengthen your emotional resilience, and build greater confidence, stability, and self-compassion.
My therapeutic approach: Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy
I use evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to each individual's needs and goals. A particular focus of my work is Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), a practical and highly effective approach that helps people develop skills for managing emotions, navigating stress, and building a life worth living. Although DBT was originally developed for individuals experiencing intense emotional distress, many of its tools and skills have proven especially helpful for people with ADHD.
Together, we may work on:
understanding and regulating emotions more effectively
managing stress, overwhelm, and difficult situations
reducing self-criticism and building self-compassion
identifying and changing unhelpful thought and behavior patterns
improving communication and relationships
developing greater confidence in yourself and your abilities
For me, therapy is not simply about reducing symptoms. It is about helping you create a life that feels more manageable, meaningful, and aligned with who you are.
Who I Work With
I work with adolescents aged 15 and older, as well as adults with ADHD. I also support individuals who struggle with emotional overwhelm, chronic stress, anxiety, self-doubt, or difficulties with emotional regulation. But you have to reside in Germany to work with me as your therapist.
You may appear to function well on the outside while feeling constantly tense or exhausted on the inside. You may find yourself repeating the same patterns despite your best efforts to change them. Or perhaps you simply feel stuck and unsure of how to move forward. Therapy can help you better understand these challenges and develop healthier, more effective ways of responding to them.
If you're unsure whether coaching or therapy would be the better fit for your situation, I'd be happy to explore this together during an initial consultation.
What working together looks like
Every person brings unique experiences, challenges, and goals. For that reason, I do not offer mandatory packages or rigid treatment programs. Most clients benefit from regular sessions, particularly in the beginning.
Initial Phase
During the first few months, we typically meet every one to two weeks. This allows us to build a strong therapeutic relationship, gain a deeper understanding of your challenges, and begin developing new ways of responding to them.
Consolidation Phase
As progress becomes more established, sessions are often spaced further apart, typically every three to four weeks. The focus shifts toward strengthening new skills and increasing confidence in daily life.
Maintenance Phase
Some clients choose to continue with occasional sessions every few months or as needed. These sessions can help maintain progress, navigate new challenges, and provide ongoing support during times of transition.
Fees
The initial consultation (30 minutes) is free and provides an opportunity for us to discuss your concerns, answer questions, and determine whether working together feels like a good fit.
Individual therapy sessions (50 minutes) are €95.
Therapy is offered as a private-pay service and is generally not covered by German public health insurance. Depending on your individual insurance plan, reimbursement through private health insurance or supplementary insurance may be possible.

If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply tired of struggling on your own, I'd be happy to support you.
In an initial consultation, we'll explore what's been challenging for you, discuss what you're hoping to change, and see whether therapy together feels like the right next step.
You don't have to figure everything out before reaching out. Sometimes the first conversation is simply a place to start.
