ADHD Therapy and Coaching for Students, Professionals, and Expats

Practical strategies, emotional support, and evidence-based tools to help you navigate ADHD with greater confidence and less overwhelm.

Life with ADHD can be exhausting.

You may feel overwhelmed by deadlines, constantly behind on important tasks, or frustrated that things that seem easy for other people require so much effort from you. Perhaps you're struggling with procrastination, emotional overwhelm, anxiety, burnout, or a constant feeling that you're not living up to your own expectations.

If that sounds familiar, you're not alone.

My name is Gabi Maier. I'm an ADHD coach and therapist based in Germany, and I work with students, professionals, parents, and expats who want practical support as well as a deeper understanding of how their minds work.

Together, we'll develop strategies that fit your brain rather than forcing you into systems that were never designed for you. We'll work on organization, motivation, emotional regulation, relationships, and the challenges that may be holding you back from living the life you want.

Why I Do This Work

I have spent more than 15 years as a professor teaching and mentoring students at an American university and have worked with people from many different countries and cultural backgrounds. Having lived in Germany, the United States, Japan, and Denmark, I understand the challenges that come with navigating different educational systems, cultures, and expectations. This is one reason why I particularly enjoy working with international students, expats, and Third Culture Kids.

As the parent of a neurodivergent child, I also know that ADHD affects entire families. Supporting parents and helping families create calmer, more connected relationships is an important part of my work.

How I Can Help

ADHD Therapy

ADHD is about much more than attention and organization. Many people with ADHD also struggle with emotional overwhelm, anxiety, chronic stress, low self-esteem, rejection sensitivity, impulsivity, or difficulties in relationships.

In therapy, we explore the deeper patterns that may be contributing to these challenges and develop healthier ways of responding to difficult emotions, stress, and life transitions.

My therapeutic work is strongly influenced by Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), a practical and evidence-based approach that can be particularly helpful for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and building a more balanced life. You don't have to navigate these challenges alone. Learn more

ADHD Coaching

ADHD can affect every area of life—school, university, work, relationships, and everyday responsibilities. Perhaps you struggle with procrastination, time management, organization, motivation, or the constant feeling that you're always trying to catch up.

In coaching, we focus on practical strategies that fit your individual strengths, challenges, and goals. Together, we'll create systems and routines that work with your brain rather than against it.

My goal is not to help you become a different person. It's to help you better understand yourself and build a life that feels more manageable, sustainable, and fulfilling. Learn more

English-speaking ADHD Community

Living with ADHD can feel isolating, especially when you're navigating life in a different country, culture, or educational system. This group offers a supportive space for adults with ADHD to connect with others, share experiences, learn practical strategies, and gain new perspectives.

Each month, we explore different ADHD-related topics, including emotional regulation, procrastination, executive functioning, relationships, work, study skills, and everyday life with ADHD. Whether you've recently been diagnosed or have been living with ADHD for years, you're welcome to join us.

My goal is to create a warm and supportive community where you can learn, connect, and feel understood while building practical tools for everyday life. Learn more.

ADHD Parent Training

Parenting a child with ADHD can be incredibly rewarding but it can also be exhausting, frustrating, and overwhelming at times. You may find yourself dealing with daily struggles around school, homework, emotional outbursts, routines, friendships, or family conflict. Perhaps you've tried different approaches and advice, yet nothing seems to work consistently. Many parents begin to question themselves and wonder whether they're doing enough to help their child.

You're not alone.

This parent training program is designed to help you better understand your child's ADHD and develop practical strategies that work in real life. Rather than focusing only on challenges, we'll also explore your child's strengths, interests, and unique way of experiencing the world. Learn more
